PaciCoin and TongaCoin are private research and testnet projects under technical, legal and regulatory assessment. They are not publicly launched currencies, not legal tender, and not issued or approved by the National Reserve Bank of Tonga (NRBT). They are separate from PaciPay, PaciBank and related products currently undergoing a separate NRBT sandbox process.

- TongaCoin is not a digital paʻanga or a central-bank digital currency.
- PaciCoin/TongaCoin are separate from PaciPay Payment Gateway, PaciBank, PaciPay White Label and PaciPay Payment Link / Share Payment Link.
- The PaciPay sandbox application with the NRBT does not include, and does not approve, this research project.
